Purchase Order Quality Clauses


All suppliers must comply with the basic Quality Clauses. Additional Quality clauses will be noted on the Purchase Order as applicable.

 

For PROCESSING SUPPLIERS, the following are the minimum requirements:

JKQC-3, JKQC-4, JKQC-5, JKQC-6, JKQC-8, JKQC-9, JKQC-10, JKQC-11, JKQC-12, JKQC-13, JKQC-14, JKQC-17

 

For MATERIAL SUPPLIERS, the following are the minimum requirements:

JKQC-3, JKQC-4, JKQC-5, JKQC-6, JKQC-8, JKQC-9, JKQC-10, JKQC-11, JKQC-12, JKQC-13, JKQC-15

 

For MACHINING & MANUFACTURING SUPPLIERS, the following are the minimum requirements:

For Machining and Manufacturing suppliers JKQC-1 through JKQC-13 are applicable. 

For Deburring-or partial machining suppliers JKQC-3 through JKQC-13 are applicable.

 

For CALIBRATION/TESTING SERVICE PROVIDERS, the following are the minimum requirements:

JKQC-3, JKQC-4, JKQC-5, JKQC-6, JKQC-8, JKQC-9, JKQC-10, JKQC-11, JKQC-12, JKQC-13, JKQC-16

JKQC-1

Manufacturing suppliers must furnish the following to JK Engineering:  Packing Slip, Dimensional Inspection Report, Certificate of Conformance and, if applicable, material and processing certifications for all parts ordered.

JKQC-2

Documented first article inspection reports shall be submitted to JK Engineering prior to the beginning of production.  The supplier assumes all financial responsibility for replacement, rework, and material when production of parts is begun without first article inspection approval from JK Engineering.  AS9102 First Article Form required when stipulated on the purchase order.

JKQC-3

Any delay in shipment for any reason has to be conveyed to JK Engineering as soon as the delay is known by the supplier.

JKQC-4

Any change to the contract requirements by the supplier must be approved by JK Engineering in writing.

JKQC-5

All information in the contract must be held in confidence by the supplier and no third party request for information will be authorized unless instructed in writing by a JK Engineering representative.  All documents must be retained for 10 years minimum unless extended retention is required by JK Engineering customer flow down.  At the end of this retention period, the supplier will notify JK Engineering of the records to be disposed of, and JK Engineering reserves the right to request delivery of such records.

JKQC-6

In addition to our right of access, the supplier agrees to right of access for our customers, government, or regulatory agencies as applicable, to all facilities and records in the performance of this contract.

JKQC-7

Manufacturers or machine shops must have a quality system in compliance to AS9003, AS9100, or ISO9001 as required by JK Engineering’s customer.

JKQC-8

Suppliers are required to notify JK Engineering prior to transferring any work to a new facility.  JK Engineering will determine, prior to the transfer, if the supplier may perform the transfer of work.

Arrangements for JK Engineering approval of supplier’s nonconforming material.

JKQC-11

Requirements for the supplier to flow down to sub-tier suppliers the applicable requirements in the purchasing documents, including key characteristics where required and positive FOD control processes

JKQC-12

The supplier shall ensure persons are aware of their contribution to product and service conformity, product safety, and importance of ethical behavior

JKQC-13

Supplier shall have a counterfeit parts avoidance, detection, mitigation, and disposition program meeting the requirements of Aerospace Standard AS5553. Supplier shall only deliver authentic components, devices, pieces, material, modules, assemblies, subassemblies, goods, etc.

JKQC-14

Processing suppliers must furnish processing certifications to the purchase order requirements, and shall not process any parts for which they are not certificated or approved.  NADCAP and/or specification owner approval is required. Acceptable quality system requirement are AC7004, ISO9001, or AS9100.   

JKQC-15

Material suppliers must furnish material certifications to the purchase order requirements, and shall not supply material for which they are not certificated or approved.  When noted on our purchase orders, raw material supplied must be USA domestic material. Acceptable quality system requirement are AC7004, ISO9001, or AS9100.

JKQC-16

Calibration/testing suppliers must furnish calibration/test reports to the purchase order requirements, and be traceable to the specific equipment or item for which they are calibrating or testing traceability to NIST and/or other national or international standards must be supplied ISO9001:2008, ISO 17025, NADCAP testing, ANSI Z540, and/or NADCAP accreditation will be the quality system requirements. Actual data must be supplied.

JKQC-17

Outside process providers shall hold all work and obtain authorization from JK Engineering before sending product to any other outside process provider.
